Description

The factory audio system in a lot of Acura’s lacks overall volume. This lack of volume is often the result of a faulty amplifier or cheap components used from the factory. Our plug and play amplifiers offer different upgrade options without having to upgrade your speakers or factory radio. This amplifier is manufactured by pioneer and is used to power each speaker or speakers with 45W RMS. The factory amplifier in your Acura powers each speaker 20W RMS. This new amplifier will double the amount of power going to each individual speaker resulting in a much louder factory system. The amplifier can be used with factory speakers or aftermarket speakers. The amplifier comes configured so it does not damage your factory speakers it just allows them to be louder. This amplifier is a true plug and play installation it does not require any new power or ground lines. All you have to do to install the amplifier is disconnect and remove the factory amplifier then plug this one in with the corresponding connectors for your Acura. There is no wire splicing or cutting required. The final step to install the amplifier is to mount it using the provided hardware.

The pioneer amplifier is a great choice for systems where you will add an additional subwoofer and amplifier for low end bass or for vehicles with 6 or 8 regular speakers. If your Acura has a factory amplifier that powers your speakers, subwoofer and center channel this upgrade will result in the loss of the center channel and the subwoofer. This means the speaker on your dashboard will no longer produce sound and your subwoofer will no longer produce sound. This amplifier is configured to power all of the speakers in the car without an issue. Another example is a 2007-2009 Acura MDX with 8 speakers that can be powered by this amplifier.

The pioneer specifications are as follows. The pioneer amplifier can handle loads of 2ohms to 8ohms on each individual channel. The pioneer amplifier can be bridged on the front or rear channels with a loads that have a final impedance of 4ohms. The amplifier is equipped with built high pass and low pass filters at 80hz with a slope of 12db. The amplifier has a frequency response of 10hz to 40Khz. The amplifier requires at maximum of 15 amps of power that is protected with an inline fuse. The amplifier is rated for 45 watts of continuous power at 2ohms and 4ohms. This amplifier is not equipped with manual gain matching, it instead has digital gain matching that will be adjusted with it detects clipping.
