The factory audio system in a lot of Acura’s lacks overall volume. This lack of volume is often the result of a faulty amplifier or cheap components used from the factory. Our plug and play amplifiers offer different upgrade options without having to upgrade your speakers or factory radio. This amplifier is manufactured by MB Quart and is used to power each speaker or speakers with a maximum of 100Watts RMS. The factory amplifier in your Acura powers each speaker with 20W RMS. This new amplifier will drastically increase the amount of power going to each individual speaker resulting in a much louder factory system.
The amplifier can be used with factory speakers or aftermarket speakers. The amplifier comes configured so it does not damage your factory speakers it just allows them to be louder. This amplifier is best used with aftermarket speakers. This amplifier installation is partially plug and play as it requires new power and ground lines. This amplifier is meant to be installed underneath the passenger seat of your Acura. In order to install this amplifier you will have to unbolt the passenger seat and run a new power wire to your battery while also adding a new ground wire. The rest of the amplifier installation is plug and play. You will connect the amplifier wiring at the factory amplifier location and hide the wiring underneath the plastic trim of your vehicle. This amplifier comes with all the necessary wiring, fusing and hardware to complete the installation.

This amplifier is great for systems with a center channel and subwoofer as it will allow to keep all the speakers in your vehicle working. This amplifier is perfect for the newer generation of Acura’s with 4 door speakers, a center channel and a subwoofer. This amplifier is perfect for the 2004-2013 Acura TL, 2004-13 Acura TSX, 2007-2013 MDX and the ILX and TLX.
The MB Quart amplifier specifications are as follows. The MB Quart amplifier can handle loads of 2ohms to 4ohms on each individual channel. The ds18 amplifier can be bridged on the front, rear, and subwoofer channels with a loads that have a final impedance of 4ohms. The amplifier is equipped with variable high pass and low pass filters from 50hz to 250khz with a slope of 12db. The amplifier has a frequency response of 10hz to 45Khz. The amplifier requires at maximum of 80A amps of power that is protected with an inline fuse. The amplifier is rated for 100W watts maximum at 2ohms and 50 watts at 4ohms. This amplifier is equipped with manual gain matching from .2v to 9v.
